Everything you capture for yourself lives in your Personal space. A team space is the other half of Gobi: a place a team captures into together. You don’t browse or search for team spaces. You get invited to one. Most invitations arrive as a link in a text, an email, or a chat message. Tap it, confirm, and you’re in. There’s no application and no waiting for approval. If you don’t have Gobi installed yet, the link takes you through the App Store or Google Play first, and your invitation is waiting when you open the app. You’ll land in the team space, and your own Personal space will be waiting in the space switcher.

Invites waiting in the app

Some invitations skip the link: a member invites you by email, and the invite shows up in Gobi itself. Find it in Account settings → Invites.
The Invites screen, with a pending invite to Bloom and Decline and Accept buttons
Each invite shows the team space, its size, and who invited you. Accept or decline right there. Nothing joins on your behalf, and an invitation waits until you answer it. If your invite link is on another device or buried in a thread, tap Join with a link at the bottom of the Invites screen and paste it in. If you can’t find it, ask whoever invited you to send it again, or to invite you by email so it lands in your Invites.

What joining does, and doesn’t

  • Nobody sees your Personal space. Joining a team space exposes nothing you’ve captured for yourself. The two never mix.
  • You see the team’s public feeds, plus any private feeds you’re invited to. See Feeds.
  • The team sees what you capture there. Members see your posts and the Summaries of your notes. Your transcripts, audio, side notes, and attachments stay with you. See Who sees what.

Once you’re in

The team space appears in your space switcher, its activity shows up in its notifications, and its space agent is ready to answer from what the team has captured. Start by reading the Captures feed, then capture something worth remembering.
