Gobi exists to remember your conversations, which means we hold something personal and we know it. Every decision about data in Gobi follows one rule: what you capture is yours, and every move it makes is a move you chose. The rest of this page is that rule, applied.

The life of a capture

A capture starts as a conversation and becomes a Summary: the audio is transcribed, the transcript is distilled, and the result lands in your Home — visible to exactly one person, you. The original audio stays part of your capture, replayable from the transcript whenever the written version isn’t enough — and it lives where everything else does, in your Home, under the same one-person rule. Nothing about this pipeline publishes anything: processing your capture is not sharing it, and no other person or space learns it exists. And when a capture goes, everything goes with it — Summary, transcript, notes, attachments, and the audio itself. Deleting is as complete as capturing.

Who can see your data

The honest inventory, in full:
  • You. Your Home — captures, Summaries, transcripts, notes, attachments — is yours alone.
  • People you deliberately share with. Sharing a capture into a space is an explicit act, one capture at a time, and it shares the Summary — your transcript, notes, and attachments stay home even then.
  • Agents you deliberately connect. Your personal agent works from your Home for you; a space agent sees only what its space was given; an agent you connect yourself gets the access you granted, on a token you control. What each one can and can’t see has its own page.
There is no quiet fourth entry. No space, no other member, and no setting grants anyone a view into your Home.

What Gobi doesn’t do with it

  • We don’t sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Gobi is a product you use, not a product you are.
  • Your conversations aren’t training material. How models figure in Gobi — and what never reaches them — is spelled out in models and training.

Your controls

Deliberate sharing is the everyday control. The permanent ones: you can export everything or delete everything — your data is yours to keep, move, or destroy. And when a question isn’t answered here, ask a human: support@joingobi.com.
