A capture won’t start

Recording needs microphone access. If nothing happens when you start the AI notetaker, check iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and make sure Gobi is on. Gobi asks for this permission on first use; declining it then is the usual reason it’s off.

My note is stuck on processing

Processing time scales with recording length: a 10-minute chat is quick, a 2-hour meeting takes a while. If a note seems stuck well past that, close and reopen the app. Still processing? Send it in from Settings → Report a bug.

I can’t sign in

Gobi signs in with Google or Apple only; there is no email-and-password account. If sign-in fails, finish any pending verification in the Google or Apple prompt, then try again from a fresh app launch.

Notifications aren’t arriving

Two switches have to be on:
  1. Push notifications in Settings → Notifications, inside Gobi.
  2. Notification permission for Gobi in iOS Settings → Notifications.
If you get some notifications but miss mentions, check notifications for what each switch covers.

When you’re still stuck

Reporting a bug, with the logs prompt.

Settings → Report a bug opens an email to us and offers to attach your app logs. Logs are what let us find the problem; you can send the report without them if you prefer. For anything that isn’t a bug, Settings → Send feedback reaches the same inbox.
