Capture

A recorded conversation. You start one from the + button with the AI notetaker, and it ends when you tap end. One capture makes one note. See AI notetaker.

AI notetaker

The tool that records a conversation and turns it into a note. See AI notetaker.

​

Note

What a capture becomes. A note holds the AI summary, the transcript, the audio, your side notes, and anything you attached. See Notes.

AI summary

One of the two views of a note: Gobi’s write-up of what was discussed, who was there, and what to do next. See Notes.

Transcript

The other view of a note: the conversation as text, split by speaker in order, with audio playback. See Notes.

Side note

Anything you type while a capture is running, kept with the finished note. See AI notetaker.

​

Speaker

A distinct voice in a capture. Speakers Gobi can’t name yet show as Speaker 1, Speaker 2, and so on until you assign them. See Speakers.

Voiceprint

What Gobi uses to recognize a voice across conversations. One person can have several voiceprints linked to them. See where your captures go.

Unique voiceprint

A voice Gobi separated but hasn’t matched to anyone, shown as UV in the directory. Link it to a person and their conversations collect in one place. See attendees.

Directory

The people from your captured conversations, and every conversation you’ve had with each of them. People don’t need to be Gobi users to be in it. See Directory.

​

Artifact

What Gobi makes from a note when you send it out of the app. An artifact holds the AI summary and gets its own URL. Share with link makes that URL open to anyone; Share with people sends it to an email address and asks the reader to sign in. See share a note.

Space agent

Gobi, as a member of your space. Chat with it from Chat with agent in the bottom bar, or tag it in a channel. It answers from that space’s context and nothing else, and from its public channels. See Ask Gobi.

Home

Yours, with one member. Every capture lands here, your devices connect here, and your notes and directory collect here. Nothing leaves Home until you share it. See where your captures go.

Space

A place shared with other people, where a team builds context out of what its members share. You can’t capture inside one. See Spaces.

Channel

A topic inside a space, like a channel in a team chat tool. Every space starts with Welcome to Gobi. A channel is public, which anyone in the space can join and the space agent reads, or private, which is invitation only and stays out of the agent’s context. See Spaces and channels.
