The space agent

Every space comes with a space agent: the space’s collective memory, made answerable. Members share captures and post updates; the agent remembers all of it, so what the space knows stops depending on who’s in the room or who’s already answered the question twice.

Where to find it

The agent sits in your space’s direct messages, ready to be asked — like a member who has read everything and forgets nothing: Ask it what happened with an account before you joined, what was agreed in last week’s captures, or where a deal stands — the kinds of questions that otherwise interrupt whoever’s been around longest.

What it knows

The space agent draws on what the space has been given: captures shared into its channels, and the posts and discussion around them. The boundary is the same one that governs everything in Gobi:

• Never your Home. The agent doesn’t see anyone’s private captures, notes, or personal context. Members’ Homes don’t exist to it — only what was deliberately shared.
• Only your rooms. The agent answers you from the channels you’re in, never from rooms you’re not. It won’t reveal anything to you that you couldn’t already open yourself — no matter how the question is phrased.
• Private channels aren’t remembered. What’s posted in a private channel stays out of the space’s memory entirely.

One space, one agent — and yours

Your personal agent knows your Home; a space agent knows its space. They don’t compare notes: asking your personal agent about your captures exposes nothing to any space, and asking a space agent draws nothing from your Home. Each agent answers from its own side of the line — which is what makes it safe to share into a space and safe to keep things out of one.
