# Settings and members

> Running the space: who's in it, how it behaves, and the two red buttons.

Every space has a settings screen — tap the gear from the
space's channel list. Members can see it; some of it only
admins can change.

## Space setup

The space's identity: its **profile image**, **name**, and
**description**. Spaces are cheap to rename and re-describe —
if the space outgrows what you called it on day one, fix it
here and every member sees the change.

## Members

The room's guest list, and the admin's main workspace. Three
things happen here:

* **Invite.** All three doors from
  [creating the space](/spaces/create-a-space) live here too —
  copy the invite link, share it, or add someone by email.
* **Roles.** A member is an **admin** or a **member**. Admins
  manage settings, members, and invitations — and can make any
  member an admin alongside them. There's no owner tier: the
  creator starts as an admin, nothing more.
* **Remove.** Admins can remove a member; removal takes the
  space with it — their access ends, and what they never shared
  was never here.

## Space agent

The [space agent](/spaces/space-agent) is the space's to shape,
and this is where admins shape it:

* **Its name.** Every space's agent can be named — which is why
  the agent in your DMs answers to something like *Acme agent*
  rather than a generic label.
* **Its prompt.** Admins can give the agent standing
  instructions: the tone to take, what the space cares about,
  how to answer. The prompt shapes the agent's voice and
  priorities — never its boundaries. No instruction makes it
  see private channels, members' Homes, or rooms the asker
  isn't in.
* **The space's timezone.**

## Space digest

The space can send a **weekly digest by email** — the week's
activity, delivered so members stay current without patrolling
channels. Turn it on or off here.

## The danger zone

Two decisions live at the bottom, marked in red because they
mean it:

* **Leave space.** Any member can walk out — you lose access
  to the space, its channels, and its history.
* **Delete space.** Admins only, and permanent: deleting a
  space removes it for every member, along with everything
  ever shared into it. Members' Homes are untouched — the
  originals of shared captures live with their owners — but
  the space, its channels, and its conversation end here.

Neither has an undo. Gobi asks you to confirm both, and means
that too.
