# Posts and replies

> Post to a channel, attach what matters, and pull people in.

Channels are where a space talks. Post an update, share a note, and reply in threads.

## Write a post

Tap `+` and choose `Post`. Pick the channel you're posting to, write your text, and send.

## Attach something

A post can carry more than text:

* **A recent note.** Pick one of your recent notes and attach it to the post. This is how a captured conversation reaches your team.
* **A photo.** Take one, or pick from your library.
* **A file.** Attach a document.

## Tag people

Type `@` to tag:

* A person in the space
* The [space agent](/introduction/glossary#space-agent), to bring Gobi into the thread
* `@everyone`, for everyone in the channel
* `@here`, for people who are around

The list marks them: the agent carries an `AGENT` tag, `Here` carries `EVERYONE`.

Tagging someone notifies them, so use it when you need a specific person to see something.

## Reply

Open a post and add a reply. Replies thread under the post, so a conversation stays in one place. React with an emoji when a reply isn't needed.

  What lands in a channel is visible to that channel's members. Sharing a note into a channel shares its summary, not its transcript or audio. See [where your captures go](/privacy/your-captures).
